DJ Caitlin
Pronouns: she/her
Caitlin is a Brooklyn-born-and-raised radio artist, performer, and DJ who is happy to recommend all the best stoops to sit on and public restrooms to use when booking your next trip to New York! She hasn't been the same since "The Accident" - in 2016, a camel named Sage kicked her in the knee during her brief stint as a farmer in Upstate New York, so she moved to Chicago, where she could start her life over fresh and pursue a career in comedy writing. Naturally, Caitlin has instead worked in the music industry here ever since, doing everything from concert booking and promotion, to press, marketing, and licensing. On evenings and weekends, you might catch her spinning vinyl in bars and clubs around town when she's not co-hosting The Minimal Beat on 105.5 FM Lumpen Radio; a show featuring artist interviews and an eclectic mix of new, independent releases and complimentary vinyl gems that range from punk, funk, and disco, to psychedelic, bossa nova, jazz, and everything in between. And you can always count on hearing some Frank Zappa deep cuts when Caitlin's on the air (but don't worry, she won't break out the Zappa at your wedding...unless you're into that sort of thing!)
