Making you dance until your feet bleed since 2005

We live in Florida, so getting married in Chicago was always going to be a challenge. Thankfully, our DJ Alli was one less thing to worry about. From our first meeting on Skype to the last song on wedding night, we received five-star service. Alli played all the songs we asked for and provided invaluable advice when it came to music for cake-cutting, bouquet-tossing, etc. Super-professional from start to finish. Thanks to Alli, Toast & Jam!

Norah Utley was the best! She worked closely with us to develop the exact right playlists for our wedding. During dinner I remember telling Norah that she was playing the exact music that I would play if we were having guests over. She was helpful and accommodating in incorporating just the right music to make the night special. She was friendly and professional, and meshed well with the restaurant management. She met with us twice prior to the night as well as several emails throughout the process. We always felt well taken care of and informed as to everything DJ and music related. I was skeptical of hiring a wedding DJ, but from our first meeting Norah laid all my fears to rest.

When it came time to hire a DJ for our wedding, there was only one choice: Toast & Jam. All of my friends who’d had especially fun and memorable weddings had used them, so we knew we would, too. We went into the night with high expectations, and Tabitha did not disappoint. We Skyped with her a couple of times before the wedding to talk about what kind of music we liked and didn’t like, and we were able to send her a list of songs we’d like to hear, as well as songs we wouldn’t. We didn’t have to worry about goofy songs like The Chicken Dance or “Red Solo Cup” because these are already on Toast & Jam’s company do-not-play list. Tabitha put together an amazing playlist, politely declined to take requests, and made sure everyone had a great time! At one point about an hour into dancing, nearly everyone was still on the dance floor, including my 90-year old grandmother. Tabitha was also super accommodating of my husband’s surprise boy band dance and made sure that she didn’t spoil the surprise for me. Seriously, look no further. Hire Tabitha, and you and your guests will have the most fabulous time dancing the night away!

Selecting Toast and Jam to DJ our wedding turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Emily made the entire process fun and easy. She was attentive, suggestive, and totally professional. She created a perfect time line, kept the evening moving, and delivered a soundtrack that our guests still talk about. Our wedding reception was a BLAST from start to finish, and we owe much of it to Emily, and Toast and Jam!

Brandon and I found Toast and Jam on The Knot, but we were also recommended from a friend who was married a few years ago. Tabitha was our DJ and she was absolutely AMAZING! From day 1 it was great working with Tabitha and planning the various songs and reception layout. Tabitha helped with a few song selections as well as some announcements through the night. Outside of a few “must plays” Tabitha played the most amazing selections of songs and genres. She had our guests dancing the night away and the dance floor was packed until the very last minute of the reception. For the last song Tabitha played All My Life by K‑CI & JoJo and this had the guests in a circle swaying around the dance floor while Brandon and I were dancing in the middle. This was such a special moment at the end of the night that I will never forget. The guests have been raving about the music since our wedding night and I will be sure to recommend both Tabitha and Toast and Jam to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Rachel was our DJ for our March, 2017 Wedding and was AH-MAZING!!!!! Our Dance Floor was packed the entire time and she worked so well with us in making sure our music vibe was integrated throughout the night. Going through the wedding process, I was thinking of maybe getting a couple of musicians to play during our ceremony and I am so glad I did not. The way Rachel timed the music and faded everything out was so perfect. She really made our wedding what it was and kept the dance floor packed the entire night, it was really amazing!!

We had a blast with DJ Karin. We knew we were in good hands the moment we met her. She helped us put together our timeline and in turn created the best wedding playlist we have ever heard! (Of course we are biased). But the proof is in the pudding: the dance floor was packed the entire night! Karin kept us on our timeline all evening with grace and class. 10 Stars! Thank you Toast & Jam for matching us with an awesome DJ.

I was in charge of finding a DJ for my best friend’s wedding a couple years back- and settled on Toast & Jam based on a friend’s recommendation. We were not let down. I had never been at a wedding where the guests moaned when the DJ called for the last dance. So when it came time for me to get married, I didn’t look for anyone else. It had to be Toast & Jam. We were so lucky to have been able to get a Toast & Jam DJ for our wedding date and Daniel was nothing but superb. His meetings with us were extremely helpful- not only in helping us find the right music for our wedding, but also helping us plan out the day. He asked us questions we hadn’t asked ourselves. He patiently helped us through our planning process. Daniel was also extremely flexible and helpful- we not only had a DJ, but also booked a live band. Daniel helped us coordinate the ins and outs of the different events on our wedding day, working seamlessly with the live band. Daniel also took a casual mention of having family members from Honduras at the wedding and he, on his own volition, did the research to find traditional songs for wedding celebrations to augment our dance-party. He inserted them smoothly into the night’s set. Our family members were touched and thrilled. And, we were also lucky enough to have Toast & Jam DJ Jess at our wedding, just in case Daniel was taken out. (Just kidding, she was a guest.) Thank you Daniel and Toast & Jam. We’re STILL getting compliments on our wedding.

From the day we first met with DJ Emily, we had a great feeling about her! When we had our final meeting with her, she took the time to really understand our vibe and walk through our timeline and put me totally at ease during one of the most stressful weeks of my 30 years. We were excited about her approach to the whole event and her knowledge of our venue and how to best utilize sound in the space. And she was totally willing to roll with our…diverse/eclectic/sometimes off the wall music choices. On the day of the wedding, everything was seamless. She and her assistant performed frequent checks to make sure everything was a good level and when it was time to get the party started, she really knew exactly how to read the room and get them on their feet to stay. Her energy just fed the amazing party vibe and at one point, she even let me cut the feet out of her extra set of tights so that I could change into my comfy dancing shoes. Our experience at Toast & Jam was incredible; DJ Emily went above and beyond to bring our wedding dreams to life and she cultivated the party of our lives!!!
