We are so happy to have selected Toast & Jam as our DJ. Alli was very organized, well prepared and flexible. She met with us twice before the wedding and heard exactly what we wanted and didn’t want. She helped keep things on track during the night and handled toasts, dances, and all other announcements. It was a great time, Alli played a great mix of songs and we received loads of compliments on the variety and music choices.

The lovely Emily of Toast & Jam was the DJ for our December wedding. It was a pleasure getting to know her, and she did such an excellent job. People are still telling us how great the music was at our wedding. We loved her. Our parents loved her (very important!). Our guests loved her. Hiring Toast & Jam was one of the best decisions we made! We met with Emily in person twice and my husband and I and my parents also communicated with her over email throughout the wedding planning process. She was always very responsive and helpful. She listened to us during conversations about music and the kind of music we wanted to hear — and the music on the night of was an awesome mix of our own personal requests plus Emily’s expert music choices which fit exactly what we were looking for. She was great as the emcee who introduced the toasts, made announcements throughout the night, and let people know when it was their turn to speak. Her fun, kind, and relaxed vibe helped everyone feel totally comfortable. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Toast & Jam and with Emily. And we’re so glad that the memories of our wedding reception are linked with songs we loved!

Karin Fjellman was our DJ from Toast and Jam and Karin is absolutely the best. Our ceremony with her background music was surreal. Then she rocked the party all afternoon and we had to be kicked out after 4 hours of continuous dancing! She is the consummate professional at the top of her profession!!

Katy Albert exceeded our expectations! From our first meeting she was very organized and easy to work with. Neither of us are super into music so it was very helpful to have her expertise in picking many of our songs.All of our formal dances were perfectly timed, and she kept the dance floor packed all night long! We had many guests tell us that our wedding was the most fun wedding they had ever been to and a large part of that was our awesome DJ! Thank you Katy!!!

Emily was our DJ for our wedding in November 2015! She is the best! We were told if we wanted a great DJ and lots of people dancing at our wedding, this was the place to check out first! We wanted to book them almost immediately after looking at their website and seeing their no play list (we loved this) and fantastic reviews. We DID book them immediately after having our initial Skype call with our DJ, Emily, who was super friendly, very professional, and clearly knew her stuff! We had total faith in her and knew everything would be great. Even so, at our reception, Emily exceeded our expectations! We had some family and friends tease us before the wedding when we mentioned songs like the Chicken Dance and Cha Cha Slide wouldn’t be played. They were convinced no one would dance. Not only did people dance at our wedding, but people NEVER LEFT THE DANCE FLOOR! It was always packed, even bouncing at one point, and every single person we talked to — no matter what their age or taste in music was — LOVED the DJ. We also really appreciated Emily’s advice and help in planning the night out — when introductions, speeches, dinner courses, etc. would take place. She also was very quick to respond to any emails! Then the night of the wedding, she kept everything running smoothly, and it was no problem when we took things out of the schedule, changed things up, or needed her to make an extra announcement. She was absolutely the best! We would HIGHLY recommend Toast & Jam if you want your guests to have the most fun at your wedding and keep dancing all night long!

Toast and Jam really lives up to its reputation. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and MC. From the first meeting Katy was a great fit. She listened, offered suggestions, and was just a wonderful person to work with, both professional and charismatic. On our wedding day she was calm and collected, double checked name pronunciations, helped us get thru the logistics of the announcements, speeches and all the things you don’t feel like remembering on your wedding day. The dance floor was never empty. We had countless friends and family members comment on how great the music was, and how well it was transitioned. We even discovered that a certain family member could do the worm. Given the age range of our guests it really is saying something when people young and old love the music. Katy pulled everything off flawlessly!

Our experience was top notch from the beginning. Toast and Jam is one of the best DJ groups in the city, and we totally agree. We worked with Shannon Duffy and she was great from our very first meeting to our wedding day. When asked what our vision was for our wedding, we told her that we wanted our night to be a big, fun party where the dance floor was full at all times. Shannon did an amazing job and fulfilled our request. She helped pick songs that represented our vision of the day. Everyone was on the dance floor and the energy was great. Since our wedding we have received numerous compliments about our day and especially the DJ and how she was amazing, kept the dance songs going, played all different genres of music so everyone felt special and even with our ceremony everyone loved the variety of music. This could not have been accomplished without her help and guidance. We are truly great full for Shannon and the amazing music set she put together. It truly was a night we will always remember.

DJ Karin Fjellman is awesome!!! She was DJ for Sarah’s cousin’s wedding 2 years ago, and we loved her so much we decided to give her a call when planning our own wedding! Toast and Jam as a company was professional, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. The same goes for Karin. When discussing our event with her during our first meeting (when booking) and also our final meeting (right before the wedding) she was extremely thorough. She thought to ask about points of reception that we wouldn’t have remembered! It was clear that she listened to all our requests/dislikes once we heard her play. Also, she did a great job ‘reading’ the crowd at the reception and on the dance floor. She played songs that were sure to be a hit to the different audiences, but fun for all. She also did a great job MCing. She only used the mic when necessary, and she was right on the ball. As our MC, she had to coordinate with a live jazz band we hired for cocktails and dinner and the coordinators and chef at our reception venue. I would highly recommend her for any event!!!

We had the pleasure of having Toast & Jam provide the music for our recent wedding reception, and to say Toast & Jam and our DJ — Karin Fjellman — were amazing is the understatement of the year! Karin and her jams made our night more fun that we could have ever imagined, and she was so easy to work with. It was like she read our minds and knew exactly what classic tune or current crowd-pleaser to play to get everyone on the dance floor. We could not wait to hear what she played next. While there were many memorable moments — some of our favorites include a Nirvana tune that got our entire reception to start moshing, when Karin found an obscure sentimental song my sister requested, or ending the night with a full room sing-along of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. In fact — people were having so much fun they were legitimately sad when the music concluded. I have had numerous people tell me that our music was the best they had ever heard at a wedding reception. In fact, my uncle told me that he is going to insist that the remaining 16 of my unmarried cousins invite Toast & Jam to DJ their weddings — his kids or not. Thank you to Karin and Toast & Jam for your amazing work. You made our wedding reception a night we will truly never forget!!

We hired Katy with Toast & Jam after hearing another T&J DJ at my cousin’s wedding. I remember the music was awesome and I didn’t leave the dance floor once, so T&J immediately came to mind when we started planning our wedding. After we met with Katy, we were immediately impressed by her balance of professionalism and hip-ness. After our last phone call with Katy a few weeks before the wedding, we had no doubts and really felt like she ‘got’ us and the style we were going for. We couldn’t have been happier on the big day! The night flowed seamlessly and perfectly thanks, in large part, to Katy! She knew exactly how to read the crowd and what would keep people on the dance floor.
