Alli made our wedding so much fun! Both of us were on the dance floor almost the whole night — every time we tried to sit down, she’d put on another song SO GOOD we had to be out there. Her song selection was so close to our own tastes that it was spooky. At one point Alli pulled a deep Bön Iver cut that Mike loved but hadn’t heard in years. Multiple people asked Nathalie ​“did you make this playlist?” since the music playing felt so ​“us.” At the same time, she adjusted to the tastes and preferences of our guests as well, playing Toto’s ​“Africa” upon request and throwing on some Paul Simon when Nathalie’s uncles stepped out onto the dance floor. Overall, an A+ experience and one of the best parts of our wedding.

To this day, we STILL get nothing but amazing feedback on our wedding DJ, Norah with Toast&Jam. She absolutely KILLED it! She made the entire song selection process so easy and knew EXACTLY what we wanted played on our wedding day and what not to play. Besides being an amazing person.. she made the end of the night when she played her last song and started packing up. One of our guests started singing ​“wonder wall” and then everyone joined in. Instead of continuing to pack up, she got back on the DJ set and played wonder wall for everyone to sing to as our very last song of the night. This made our wedding that much more special!

Toast and Jam provided us with an awesome experience for our wedding. Norah, our DJ, worked with us on an intimate level to customize our experience to fit our exact vision. I wanted a DJ who could provide a broad range across Indie Rock, Classic Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop. What Norah created was a fun, balanced songlist that really hit on all levels. Our dance floor, as a result, was rocking all night long. I highly recommend Toast and Jam if you want a more eclectic wedding DJ experience, and not just your standard wedding DJ!

From planning day one to the big day, DJ Alli made music the most fun and least stressful part of the whole wedding process. She has tons of experience and as soon as we met with her for the first time we knew we could trust her to do a wonderful job. She conquered the difficult challenge of merging me and my husbands two distinct and eclectic musical tastes into the perfect mix for the setting. Working with her was a nice mix of us choosing a few songs we really did or didn’t want to hear, but knowing she would choose additional songs that we’d like and everyone would want to dance to. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the post-dinner dancing, the perfect songs for the moment kept playing, thanks to Alli. People kept coming up to us all night saying how good all the songs were. Reading the room masterfully, Alli picked the perfect time to put on our final song of the night: Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. This lead to one of the most magical moments of the whole wedding as the whole guest party joined arms and sang together. Going beyond just the music, Alli was enthusiastic from the beginning about being an integral part of directing all elements of the wedding so they proceeded seamlessly. She helped everyone giving speeches learn how to use the microphone ahead of time and gave us 5 minute warnings before all the big dances and the bouquet toss. Highly recommend DJ Alli and Toast & Jam for anyone’s big day!

So, let me tell you about DJ Norah. From the day that we first met with Nora, we knew that she was our DJ. She instantly got our tastes and made us feel like she would guide us through. And she did! She really helped us organize the how things would go during the day, and made it happen. And, she kept the dance floor moving! She really read the floor, and gave everyone what they wanted. We are so happy, and lucky, that she was part of our day.

We had an amazing experience working with DJ Norah. From our very first interactions until last call on our wedding night, Norah has been supportive, professional and super fun to work with. We live in California, so planning an out of state wedding was not easy, but Norah took the lead and gave us great advice on music choices and our reception timeline to help keep our guests happy and on the dance floor. If you want to get the party started right, get started quickly, and keep it going through the night, you unquestionably need DJ Norah (Utley). She understands how to get all the people on the dance floor and keep them there until folks need to take breaks from the beats. We had an amazing wedding day and evening and without question, DJ Norah helped elevate the evening to another level with a truly killer and excellent playlist starting at the cocktail hour and dinner service and going into the wee hours of the night. The best compliment I can give came from our guests who asked if we’d picked all the songs (answer, no we didn’t) because it felt like the playlist we would have made for a dance party. (Admission: we are both music nerds/obsessives/aficionados and may or may not own over 1500 records ranging from 50s Soul to French Pop to early 90s Hip-Hop to 80s/90s/00s Pop to Downtempo Electronic. IOTW a wide range.) And, Norah found the perfect dance party expression of our taste matched to rhythm of dance floor.
