We hired toast and jam for our wedding at the last minute when we decided that we would like to have both a band and a DJ for the evening. Tim from toast and jam KILLED IT! He was such a pleasure to work with and he made all of the planning so easy and fun. He coordinated with the band and made everything a breeze. His MC skills were so great; the night went flawlessly. He read the crowd like a pro and kept the party going all night, there wasn’t one dud song. Our guests had a blast and we received so many compliments from everyone. We can’t thank him enough he was so rad. Don’t hesitate to book Tim, he rocks.

Before finding Toast & Jam, we were struggling to find a good DJ for our wedding. My husband had a very specific playlist in mind that did not include a countdown of the Top 40. So when we found Toast & Jam, Katie was like a heaven-sent DJ. She immediately understood our musical tastes and was so incredibly friendly in our Skype chats since we were planning from New York. What I appreciated most about Katie was how she incorporated all of our suggested songs but was also perceptive enough to gauge the tracks that would really get the dance floor moving without compromising the musical integrity of the night. When the crowd’s energy waned, she didn’t default to cheesy tunes or the “geezer pleasers” but would throw on something unexpectedly awesome and infectious! Even the attendees who usually stay on the dance floor outskirts could not resist jumping into the middle of the dance circle. Throughout the wedding Katie was also excellent about adhering to the timeline. She would alert the photographer to the upcoming speeches or cake cutting so we could be confident all those major moments were captured. It was a huge stress reliever to know she was looking out for us. We cannot recommend Katie and Toast & Jam enough!

Alli from Toast and Jam was the BEST wedding DJ!!!! After attending a friend’s wedding and loving the DJ from Toast and Jam I knew I had to have them at our wedding! Alli made the whole process so fun and easy! I love how Toast and Jam does not use a bunch of gimmicks to get people to dance but instead plays great music and reads the room! We didn’t have a wedding planner so Alli was so great at creating a schedule of events and keeping us on track! Alli really listened to what we wanted and the night was perfect thanks to her! People danced the whole night and we got so many compliments on the music! Even my 88 year old grandma got out on the dance floor in her wheel chair and I have never seen her dance at a wedding before!

My husband’s most important mission during the wedding day was to find a great DJ who wasn’t cheesy, wouldn’t play typical wedding songs like “Love Shack” and “The Electric Slide” and who would keep our guests on the dance floor all night long. We found this through Toast and Jam. A friend recommended Toast and Jam and we couldn’t have been happier. Our DJ, Shannon, was friendly, prompt, and spot on with her music choices based on our taste (and the list of must plays my husband sent her). She spent the night grooving in her booth ‑just watching her put a smile on our faces. She was having as much fun as anyone! We can’t recommend Shannon and Toast and Jam enough. Truly, there was never a moment when our dance floor wasn’t packed with party! Thanks for so much fun!

Our Toast & Jam experience could not have been better. While in Los Angeles, we were planning a wedding for Chicago and our DJ, Shannon, could not have been more accommodating. She was very sociable and easy to talk to regarding what type of music and atmosphere we wanted for our dinner and reception. Our consultations were thorough and productive, but felt like a fun conversation between friends. At the wedding itself, she was prompt, efficient, warm and upbeat. We didn’t have to worry about any set-up or logistics, Shannon took care of everything with a smile. She was able to accommodate our request for live music by providing two microphones for vocals and guitar. When it was time for the dance party, she kept everyone on the dance floor by playing hit after hit that people *wanted* to hear, rather than the usual wedding fare. She also kept the energy high by dancing behind her turn table. She was warm and receptive to all the guests and took requests when approached. Even when it was time for the groom to play some music for the guests, she maintained levels live- ensuring that the sound would be perfect. Because of Shannon, the dance floor was never empty, which made for a perfect wedding.

Tabitha did an AMAZING job DJing our wedding. We had multiple people come up to us and compliment us on the song choices. She made sure everything ran smoothly and everything and everyone was announced on time and correctly. Toast of Jam was a no brainer from the moment we met for the first time. The ease of booking and coordinating was attractive and Karin was no short of perfection.
