Hiring a DJ was the last and most important thing we did for our wedding. We take our music and dancing very seriously. Every other vendor from the florists to the caterers we asked had Toast and Jam at the top of their list, and we found out why. Not only was DJ Alli a pleasure to work with and a sweetheart, she was also a professional and picked up on our tastes instantly using our suggestions and complemented them with her far superior knowledge of music. We considered doing the Spotify playlist thing but after a few wedding nightmares where no one was dancing and we had forgotten the music, we decided (one month before the big day) to get in touch with Toast & Jam, and thank goodness we did. Tabitha ROCKED the dance floor and our party people were dancing until the venue turned on the lights and politely asked us to leave. I can’t thank her enough for being so conscientious with our requests and preferences. She made sure we stayed on track and got all our dances, cakes cut, speeches, made and we got to enjoy ourselves. Many thanks to Tabitha and the T&J team!!

Toast & Jam was one of the first vendors that we booked after hearing that they were the best at packing the dance floor and I am so glad that we did. Emily was a joy to work with and gave us lots of ideas and was excited about our ideas too. The music was amazing. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner and finally dancing; Emily’s song choices were spot on. She played a great mix of music and when I hear the songs she played, it brings back such wonderful memories. Everyone, was having a such a great time on the dance floor, that a ​“one more song” chant started after the final song. I cannot say enough about Emily or Toast and Jam! Thank you for making our wedding the best day ever!!

We were so pleased with how our wedding day went and Toast & Jam was a big part of all that. We booked T&J based on their stellar yelp reviews and D.J. Shannon’s bubbly personality. Shannon pulled the hat trick. Despite competing with the Blackhawks Finals pivotal Game 5 (which we chose to avail to our guests), Shannon kept the energy thriving so much that our guests nearly outlasted us on the dance floor and we love to dance. We would strongly recommend Toast & Jam and D.J. Shannon in a heartbeat.

Matt & I picked Toast & Jam based on rave reviews by many others that we know. Emily was amazing to work with-she was flexible with meeting when times worked best for us with my husband’s busy travel schedule and she kept the dance floor going all night long. I don’t remember a time when the dance floor was empty. Their prices are very reasonable, too! All of Toast & Jam’s DJ’s are highly recommended and we definitely recommend this company for your wedding. If you love to dance and bust a move, Toast & Jam is the way to go!

DJ Emily made our whole wedding a truly magical and unforgettable experience. My husband and I are both professional dancers, and as such, music is a huge part of our lives and community. We knew instantly when we met Emily we could trust her to make selections representative of our tastes and the exuberant mood we wanted to inspire at our reception. Suffice it to say, Emily did not disappoint! From the moment the music started, the dance floor just erupted with joy and the dancing lasted through the whole night. Not only did she help us get literally all of our guests on the dance floor throughout the entire evening, she was also absolutely an indispensable part of our planning team, helping us craft a timeline, advising how to best utilize our venue from ceremony to reception, and helping us iron out other tiny logistical details that slipped our minds completely. She was encouraging, warm, and funny from start to finish, and our guests just adored her. Emily truly delivered a thoughtful and joyful experience which honored and celebrated who we are as couple and also created the best dance party we have ever had the pleasure to attend! Emily was the best! Nicole found Toast and Jam through a co worker who had recently gotten married. We met with Emily twice before the wedding, I was already impressed with thier list of music. I was also impressed with what they wouldn’t play. (Chicken Dance? Electric Slide? Ain’t nobody got time for that!) Emily was fantastic during the meetings. If we needed suggestions for certain songs, she had lists ready to go. We were also able to provide aditional songs from our own collection. The list of songs is MASSIVE but if you don’t see something, ask they probably have it. Toast and Jam knows music and they will keep the party going. We were worried about having an empty dance floor, but at no point in the night was that an issue. Thanks for giving us a soundtrack to the best day of our lives Emily!

If you’re looking for a ranging dance party, stop right here. Toast and Jam’s fantastic DJs will make it happen. When we first got engaged, most details of our wedding were hazy — but we knew one thing: we wanted to give our guests the best night ever. Shannon at T&J did not disappoint. From the word ​‘go’, Shannon listened to our vision and then did an amazing job bringing it to life. She literally played floorfillers the whole night long from Party Rock Anthem, which got Paul’s 60-year-old uncle grooving, to old-school Blink 182, prompting us to sing (loose term) at the top of our lungs. The night ended with all of us in a cheesy circle belting out Hey Jude in a hot, sweaty mess. To this day, our guests still tell us ​“You guys had the best wedding EVER!” and it’s largely because Shannon helped us dance our faces off. I can’t say enough good things about her and T&J, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Emily is the best DJ ever!! She was the first and only DJ we met with because after meeting her we knew our wedding would be the party of a lifetime. She understood exactly the type of wedding we wanted and she gave great advice when we didn’t know what to do. Katy Albert was great to work with! She is super friendly, fun and really easy to work with. She is also very flexible. She helped mix our first dance songs and we ended up changing one of the songs on her a few weeks before. She got it back to us within a few days so we could practice our dance. Also, the day of the wedding, we decided that we wanted our family to be announced at the beginning of the reception. She was very open and flexible to that as well and did a great job. Also, we had a hiccup with our bar closing during dinner (we weren’t aware that this was going to happen). She let us know it was closed as soon as she found out so that we could reorganize the flow of speeches with toasts to be sure people had drinks as things were happening. We had so much fun!
