The music was exactly what we wanted from start to finish, Kate and Rachel followed our requests perfectly, and they did a great job with improvising their own music and reading the room. We even had crashers from another reception join us on the dance floor, who told us ​“I wish they had these DJs next door.” Even the manager of the reception hall commented on our music being so much better than the usual, and he deals with hundreds of receptions each year. I am SO GLAD that we hired Toast & Jam, and having nothing but praise for the impeccable service and music throughout our entire planning process and reception.

Toast and Jam is amazing! Shannon was our DJ, and she kept the dance floor jam packed the entire night. When we met with her prior to the wedding, we gave her a short list of songs and artists that described our taste in music. Shannon was able to take that short list and transform it into a perfect playlist for cocktails, dinner, and three hours of booty shaking! There honestly was not a millisecond when the dance floor wasn’t chock full of our energized guests. We are beyond thrilled with our decision to hire Toast and Jam. My wife and I originally wanted a band for our wedding, and honestly, we got one in Shannon. That live electricity, that specific talent for reading a room…guys, I *crowd surfed* at my own wedding. It was an absolute breeze communicating our hilariously varied music taste to her, and it was a straight up pleasure knowing the night was in her hands. We threw announcements and logistics and requests her way; she’s fast on her feet and keeps the party going. It’s been a week now and all I’m hearing from loved ones is how much she crushed it. When all our best people literally enveloped us chanting the final Hey Jude na na na’s in unison, it didn’t feel like the end of the night. It felt like we were ringing in something big, something sacred, something meaningful. We’ll cherish that for the rest of our lives, and it’s all your fault, Shannon. Thank you.

Jessi went so far beyond my expectations for a DJ — I was honestly blown away. Not only did she expertly deal with my crazy time zone difference (planned a wedding from Japan for a venue in Chicago) but we connected from our first video chat call. She understood the mood that we wanted during the entire evening and put together an absolutely perfect playlist for our cocktail hour and for after-dinner dancing. She was a perfect MC the entire night, kindly and quickly moving everyone on to each of the night’s events. I honestly never knew how much goes into a wedding before planning my own and I was so grateful to have her on my side supporting me and my husband so that we could have an easy, breezy night. Jessi was absolutely incredible. From the start, she was easygoing and easy to work with — she understood our taste in music and what we were looking for, while also keeping us on the ball in the lead-up to our wedding. Once there, she was totally self-sufficient and made the party! The dance floor was nonstop — Jessi had us all going with banger after banger. The next morning, everyone was hoarse from singing along! Jessi was key in everything running smoothly — we cannot recommend her and Toast & Jam enough.
