“What can I say?! From our first meeting with our DJ, Emily, we were hooked. She was a true professional and really had a handle on how to run a wedding reception. She was so easy going and fun to hang with.. We left our meeting inspired and excited and immediately starting picking our music for our ceremony! We had so much fun going through their list of songs. At our final meeting, she was so open to what we were asking of her (looping our processional song, playing some Greek dancing music, and a couple special requests to get our grown up pop/punk friends going). Day of, she KILLED it. Our dance floor was packed all night. The music during our dinner felt like it was pulled from a spotify playlist I would’ve made myself, PERFECT. She kept true to her promises and made sure that we were aware of any special moments happening during the night. Best part of all, she had worked with my dad (unknown to me) and played a version of Brown Eyed Girl that my dad had one of my high school best friends record for our father/daughter dance. What a great surprise! Our favorite memory of our wedding night came directly out of a song Emily played. 2nd to last song of the night she threw on “we are young” by Fun and it somehow turned into a massive sing along with my husband and I LITERALLY surrounded by our friends and family in a circle around us taking turns hugging and kissing and lifting us up. I remember looking at my husband with tears in my eyes saying “is this even real?!”. We loved Emily and Toast and Jam. If you want a packed dance floor, with fun music to make everyone happy and create amazing memories, book them!”

“Shannon was an amazing DJ and really had the dance floor going all night. My husband is pretty particular about music and Shannon really took it in her stride to set expectations around her playing our “must plays” and then having the liberty to play in the genres we gave her. I noticed pretty much all of our special requests between the cocktail hour, dinner and the dance floor. She also helped us decide between a couple of songs for a few of our key moments based on her expertise. My uncle danced all night and had to be dragged away by my aunt when she was tired and he wasn’t alone! “We booked Toast & Jam after our first meeting with Jessi (~8 months before our wedding date). Jessi did a great job at the first meeting of getting an idea of what our wedding, music tastes, and personalities were like, as well as what we were envisioning for our reception. The list provided by Toast & Jam of likes and dislikes is very comprehensive and helped us get an idea for the cocktail hour and reception. Jessi was very flexible with our choices and everything was solidified via a second meeting about a month before the wedding. She also provided a microphone and music for our ceremony. She made sure to work with the other vendors, have a timeline, and prep those doing readings during or conducting the ceremony. She also assisted us by cueing us when it was past time for us to thank everyone and dance and by screening extra special requests from guests through us. She was a pleasure to work with and everyone had an amazing time!”

Jessi further personalized our wedding by keeping track of the Michigan football game, and announcing the win and playing the fight song. When we reflect on our wedding day, one of the things that always makes us smile is how packed the dance floor was all night.
