She blessed us with a Whitney Houston-Steve Winwood mashup for our last song that brought the house down. Additionally, she provided sound for our ceremony (which included a live musician), and kept our reception organized and on schedule as an emcee. Throughout dinner, we continuously received compliments on the “dope ass music”. “Norah simply made everything go smoothly from cocktail hour through the end of the reception. We did not have many opinions or requests when it came to the ‘must plays’ for our reception, we just wanted everyone to be on the dance floor having a good time. Without much of our direction, Norah was able to keep the good vibes flowing and the party never stopped. Norah showed that she cared and that it mattered that we had the best night ever. No one wanted to leave the dance floor at the end of the night! Norah was not only a good DJ, but she was personable and loving to us throughout the evening. She was friendly to our guests and family members and made everyone feel special! If we had it in us to plan another wedding, we would without a doubt have Norah DJ for us again! 10/10 stars!!!”

There literally aren’t enough great words to describe how wonderful Norah was to have DJing our wedding, and overall keeping the night running SO smoothly!! From the planning process to the night-of, Norah was super fun to work with, and made everything so EASY! We received SO many compliments about how amazing the music selection was, and a lot of “your DJ is so COOL!!” comments. We were even able to mix in the Game of Thrones theme song into one of our family traditional toasts — I mean how many weddings have you been to with THAT song playing?? We worked with Norah from Toast & Jam primarily and she was nothing short of awesome. From the get go she was so helpful in talking through music choices, when we would need to get song decisions to her, being patient with my music-picky husband, and she was absolutely essential to keeping everything moving smoothly during the event. Her choices for dancing were perfect, as many of my guests commented how great the songs were and were on a first name basis with her by the end of the night. On top of that she was just a joy to work with and so fun to check in with throughout the night — I don’t know if that’s normal but we just loved working with her. If in the Chicago area and looking for a DJ I highly recommend checking out Toast & Jam — I can’t imagine a better option out there!

Toast & Jam and our DJ Olivia, were wonderful to work with! From the planning & discovery process to providing the exact right type of vibe for our dance floor that got our guests partying hard. Due to COVID, we had to shorten our guest list and were worried we wouldn’t have enough people to make the most of the dance floor — but the music choices were phenomenal and created an atmosphere where people couldn’t stay away. We had to postpone our wedding — but even the transition between DJs (shoutout to our original DJ, Marjorie, for taking great notes about our style & music choices) was seamless. Toast & Jam knows what they’re doing — I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
