Dezi did such an amazing job of jumping in on our wedding late (our previously booked DJ left Toast & Jam). They quickly got down to understanding exactly what was most important to us and helped us communicate our music taste and the vibe we were going for. Picking a DJ for our wedding was a little daunting but Toast and Jam made it so easy. We are so thankful we had Maureen Neer and would pick her over and over again. She brought our wedding to life! When we met with her to walk through our preferences for the day of, she helped us come up with songs for each part of the evening. She easily navigated multiple set up locations at the venue and made the whole night run smoothly. She read the crowd and kept people of all ages on the dance floor all night long. After rescheduling and dealing with Covid challenges Karissa was a super helpful resource to finally celebrate our wedding! They were extremely helpful during the reception with being flexible with speeches. The dance floor was crowded the whole night, without relying on any of the overdone songs we didn’t want at our wedding. Even the music during dinner had lots of our favorites, which was a fantastic way to start the evening! Definitely appreciated Toast and Jam and Karissa’s style and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Rachel did an amazing job DJing our wedding at Galleria Marchetti. Rachel demonstrated seamless setup and collaboration with venue staff and other vendors. Most importantly, Rachel was able to keep the energy high on the dance floor while being accommodating to the “relevant” guest requests. We are so glad we chose to go with Toast & Jam for our DJ, uplighting, and photobooth for our wedding. T&J’s process was easy to navigate online, from signing the contracts, to payment, to adding the additional services. They were prompt in their responses and very detail-oriented. We picked T&J because unlike other companies we talked to, T&J assigned our DJ upfront. We got to meet Kate virtually and knew we wanted to work with her right away. Kate was absolutely amazing throughout the process, from helping us determine our playlists, coordinating with our other vendors on timelines, and absolutely killing it the day of our wedding. Kate had an amazing command of the room, wrangling even the tipsy wedding party to make a smooth entrance into the reception. Aside from curating a perfect playlist, she helped things run seamlessly from the ceremony, cocktail hour, speeches, a surprise acoustic performance by the bride’s brother, all the way up to our final song. She had a great feel for the room and kept the dance floor packed throughout the night. We highly, highly recommend T&J and especially Kate, as she played such a big role in what was a perfect wedding night for us. We can’t thank her enough!

DJ Fallon made our perfect wedding truly a night to remember. She was extremely easy to work with, had amazing communication skills and was more reliable than I could have ever imagined. But most importantly: she knows how to get a party started! We had our wedding at an outdoor venue near our house, and even our neighbors complimented the music. Fallon perfectly picked up our vibe and musical taste. Our number one request was to have an upbeat dance party and Fallon delivered that in spades. When seeking a DJ for our wedding, I put out a call on Twitter asking Chicago residents for the best DJs in the city. The overwhelming response was Toast & Jam. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Fallon and Toast & Jam.

Fallon was such a pleasure to work with throughout our wedding planning. From our first meeting to our wedding night, she went above and beyond to be helpful, supportive and listened to all of our thoughts and ideas. While planning the music for our wedding reception, we swapped Spotify playlists and ran ideas past Fallon to make sure that the music would accompany the plans well. Fallon was very helpful finalizing our timeline with our day of coordinator and played a great set of music for our reception! On top of that, she went above and beyond to help bustle my dress when my bridesmaids were having trouble seeing with the dim lighting! Mary was the best. The music from cocktails to dinner to dancing hit all the right notes — down to any last minute requests from us and our guests that made the night feel so wonderful. She was flexible from the get go, worked with us on making sure the vibe was right, and it all helped to make the day the best one of our lives. As music snobs, having guests came up to us and compliment our music choices reinforced that Mary was the best DJ we could have asked for.
