Toast & Jam was hands down one of the best vendors at our wedding! Tabitha Boorsma was our DJ, and boy, was it a match made in heaven! I like to think that I have pretty great taste in music after growing up with a dad who exposed me to the oldies station from a young age, three much older brothers who made me love every song from the 70’s and 80’s, and my own love for all modern music from hard rock to hip hop to country and everything in between. I was apprehensive that I’d ever find a DJ who really understood the breadth of music that we were looking for, and wanted to be sure that we had the best dance floor that we’ve ever seen (because who doesn’t love a wedding where you can’t stop dancing?). Well Tabitha was my girl! From the first meeting, she was on the exact same page as us on the type of music we wanted, and came up with fantastic suggestions right off the cuff that were not tired and overplayed. She totally rocked the house on our wedding day. Each song was executed flawlessly, and our friends and family of all ages never left the dance floor. We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Toast & Jam. Our best advice, book them immediately! This is one vendor that every great wedding day must have.

We’d already experienced Toast & Jam DJ’s at our friends’ weddings so when we got engaged there was no question who to call. DJ Alli is incredible. She was serious about understanding our musical tastes created a set list that incorporated all of our favorites. She even tracked down a hard to find version of “You are My Sunshine” by Johnny Cash and June Carter for my dance with my Dad. Friends and family from 2 weeks old to 95 years old were dancing the whole night! Alli was incredibly patient and helpful as we agonized over choosing our last song of the night. We ended up going with Styx’s “Come Sail Away” and the night ended with our family and friends from all areas of our life singing with their arms around each other before lifting us up and carrying us around the room. Alli truly created the best dance party of our lives and we can’t thank her enough.

Shannon was AMAZING! Leary of the same DJ playing the same 15 songs you hear at every wedding, we had a very clear vision for what we wanted our reception to be. Toast and Jam came highly recommended from our caterer, and they did not disappoint. From our very first meeting through the last dance of our reception, Toast and Jam was professional, responsive, and understood the vision we had for our wedding. We provided our key songs for dances and our “do not plays” and let Shannon do the rest. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! Shannon and the Toast and Jam team could not have done a better job, making for an incredible night; we could not have been more pleased!

When we got engaged, we only really wanted one thing… an amazing dance party at our wedding. The way to an amazing dance party: an open bar and a kick‑a$$ DJ. After setting our date and booking our venue, the first vendor we booked was T&J and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We heard awesome things about Toast and Jam, and after meeting with Emily we were sold. I was slightly worried our musical tastes wouldn’t live up the the expectations of a seasoned DJ, and that she’d laugh that we really just listen to a smattering of radio stations, 90s alternative, and chill “bro” music, but Emily made us feel completely comfortable, understood our style, and for once we didn’t feel like we had to apologize for our taste in music. Come the wedding, Emily did not disappoint. The playlists were spot on, and we repeatedly received compliments on how awesome the music was. In particular, our friends flipped when deep cuts from Third Eye Blind started playing during dinner, but we really couldn’t take any of the credit. After dinner, the dance floor opened up and it seemed no one was in their seats for the rest of the night. Emily took our tastes and turned it into the best dance party we’ve ever had! Thanks!

Caitlin from T+J did an OUTSTANDING job at our wedding! DJ’s can make or break a wedding and it was hard for us to give up control because we’ve seen it go downhill a number of times. Guests would rather be at the bar or out on the patio or really anywhere but on the dance floor dancing to that awful song your college roommate requested. From the very first meeting though, we knew Caitlin was perfect for the job and relaxed big time with her in charge. She got to know us and our plans for the event and then crafted an amazing playlist that brought the atmosphere we envisioned to life. She nailed it on the flow and timing and gracefully handled last minute changes as well as our “no requests” policy. Our guests danced all night long and we ended with the most amazing group sing-along to one of our favorite songs. On a scale of 1 to 10, Caitlin is a 15. We can’t recommend Caitlin and T+J enough!

From the first planning session, to the day of the wedding, Daniel was cool, calm, and professional. We finalized details well in advance, so we knew exactly what to expect day-of. Daniel worked with us to come up with a set that was both customized and fresh, keeping us and our guests happy and dancing for the entire night. Daniel was such a pleasure to work with! He was very accommodating and made sure we knew what songs we needed to pick, what information he needed from us, the type of songs that we loved and hated. He was an excellent emcee as well! When it was time to party, he kept the crowd going by playing a variety of songs that were in our “yes, please play” list.
