I had heard about Toast & Jam from one of my coworkers who hired them for her wedding. She raved about them, so I thought we needed to follow suit. We were set up with Karin Fjellman and from the moment we met her, we knew she was going to be awesome. Her professional manner and attention to detail made us know we made the right choice and we felt our stress melt away. At our reception, Karin took charge and made our day flow smoothly. She introduced everyone perfectly and knew who and when to give the microphones to for the toasts, prayers and speeches. Now, onto the dance portion of the night…EVERYONE was on the dance floor from the minute the music started until our reception was over. I have had so many compliments on how everyone (20-something’s to 60-something’s) could dance to every one of the songs. She played a great mix of Motown, Old School, and Top 40’s.

All we have to say is ​“Karin Rocks”!

Emily was the DJ for our October wedding, and she totally rocked it. When we met with her a few times before the big day, she really helped us nail down songs for the ceremony, and ones that were unique to boot. All of the transitions were perfect, and when it came time to hit the dance floor, she really made it happen. We even had a few epic dance-offs. Emily was so sweet and super talented. All of our guests loved the music and even other vendors agree that she was really easy to work with. Toast and Jam is definitely the way to go.

We wanted our wedding to mimic who we are: unique, jovial and FUN! Hiring Dena was the best way of ensuring that!!! It’s so cool to hear people praising your wedding, months after it’s over (at other peoples’ weddings no less). It’s kind of odd…in the most awesome way. In the rave reviews we continue to receive, Dena is always the key. She knew what to play and when. She appealled to young kids and really old kids too. The dancefloor was always packed. And I think she had as much fun as we did…dancing from her post. It just felt like we asked a really good friend to tend to the music. Dena, thanks for making our wedding the greatest night of our lives!!

From the moment I met the ladies of Toast & Jam I knew that I had one less to worry about on my wedding day. Dena was helpful, knowledgeable and professional from day one. But don’t let their professionalism fool you because those girls know how to throw a party. 

They had the dance floor hopping for hours and my guests still chanted encore after the final song of the night. Not only did they do an amazing job of keeping the guests entertained but they completely captured the spirit of who we are as a couple with their song choices for cocktail hour and dinner. I had multiple guests comment that ​“the music selection was the best they have ever heard at a wedding”. In short, Toast & Jam definitely know what they are doing and they have fun doing it. I can’t wait to throw another party & have Dena dj just so I can relive the fun. Thanks again Toast & Jam, you far exceeded expectations!

Finding the right DJ was the most important ​“To Do” on our Wedding Checklist. Thanks to Toast & Jam, more specifically Erica Schwanke, our wedding reception was AMAZING!
